RI TREE FARM FALL TOUR Saturday, October 26, 2024 — 9:00am to 12:00pm Angell Tree Farm, 27 T. Angell Way, Scituate, RI PRINT FLYER | DIRECTIONS
The Rhode Island Tree Farm Program is conducting its annual Fall Tour amongst the open fields and along the woodland trails of the Angell Tree Farm, 27 T. Angell Way, in Scituate, RI on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The tour will begin at 9:00 AM and run until about noon. T. Angell Way is located along Chopmist Hill Road (RI Route 102), just south of Central Pike. Signs will be posted at intersections, and plenty of parking is available at the end of T. Angell Way.
In addition to the walk in the woods and fields of the Angell property, the RI Tree Farm Program will be presenting certain 25 and 50-year anniversary Tree Farms with special roadside signs recognizing these Tree Farmers for their long-term commitment to conserving and improving RI’s forested lands.
According to Ronald Fasano of Richmond, the Chair of the RI Tree Farm Committee, “This year’s forest walk will allow us to view the multiple wildlife habitat and forest stand improvement projects that owners Tom and Ruth Angell have established over the past thirty-five years. We’d like to thank them for opening up their property for this year’s program.”
The event is free and open to the public, and registration is not required. The event will be held rain or shine. Proper footwear and appropriate dress for the weather is required. For more information, contact RIFCO at (401) 568-3410.
